The type of
family law investigations in which we have been involved has largely
had to do with:
- detailed forensic
analyses of respondent disclosure information (financial, employment,
asset and much other),
- triangulating on
likely incomes and assets using a wide range of resources, and
- analyzing details
and logic associated with occupations, owned businesses and
other wealth generating activities.
Our team has
acquired a familiarity with many elements of family law, FRO,
CAS, Revenue Canada and other regulatory and institutional implications.
Combined, this enables clients to support and defend their positions
with hard facts that can yield a viable, believable story.
We build trusted working relationships with our clients, and strive
to ensure maximum satisfaction with our results.

We
assist custodial parents in many ways. We can track
down places of employment for purposes of garnishing
wages in maintenance enforcement matters. We
also assist custodial parents in tracking down parents
who are neglecting family court orders
concerning child custody and spousal payments.

In working with attorneys
and general counsel, we provide timely intelligence and analysis
before and during litigation, thus enabling effective strategic,
tactical and legal decisions. Our litigation support increases
counsel's ability to understand the opposition's strategy and
develop its case through fact gathering, expert testimony, forensic
evidence gathering, analyses and reporting.
The type of family
law investigations in which we have been involved has largely
had to do with providing investigative services to 40 to 50 colleagues
and executive clients since 1982.
- The most recent
case involved identifying and proving that the income of a spouse
(that refused to pay child support for years) was substantially
higher than claimed contributing to the realistic ability to
be awarded tens of thousands of dollars more in arrears and
raised child support payments.
- In a previous case, working for a recently divorced individual,
we were able to discover that the spouse owned considerable
assets that were improperly and recently transferred to his
parents to avoid substantial payments to his spouse. The findings
(based upon forensic analyses), when provided to the lawyer
for the case, led to a significant increase in the divorce settlement,
alimony and child support payments, and additional gains.
While are direct experience
in this area is somewhat limited, our 30 years of information
sourcing, diagnostics and forensic analyses, and related skills
is directly applicable.
